Lisa Northover: Boscombe West
Lisa Northover: Boscombe West's local Lib Dem Councillor

Welcome to my campaign for a better Boscombe.

Please support my latest two petitions to make things better for our community.

I'd really like to keep in touch with any news about Boscombe and the campaign, so please include your email address.

I could not find another council like Bournemouth which charges so much to take away bulky rubbish.

Millhams will take furniture etc for free, but only if you take it in a car.

You can't use this service if you choose the green option and don’t run a car, or you can’t “manhandle” things.

Local people have also told me that the Council isn’t clear about what you get for your money. That’s not fair either.

I back Councillor Lisa Northover's campaign for collection of bulky household rubbish to be more affordable and for it to be clear what you get for your money.

Thank you!

Local people have told me how they used to be able to stop and rest on their way home from Boscombe Precinct, but that the benches on the corner of Palmerston Road and Christchurch Road, opposite McDonalds, had been removed.

The Police didn’t want to keep getting calls about groups hanging around on the corner.

So, they pressured the Council into removing the benches there. I was at a meeting about it: I argued against removing them, and disagreed with the decision.

I can't help but feel that the people who pay their taxes and don’t cause trouble get penalised. We pay for the Police, who have been given all sorts of powers, and their solution is to get the benches removed.

I want to see the benches put back.

I back Councillor Lisa Northover's campaign to put the benches back on the corner of Christchurch Road and Palmerston Road.
