Selly Oak Lib Dem councillor Alistair Dow has recently defended weekly rubbish collections in our area against any Labour plans to move to fortnightly collections.
Cllr Dow said: "Our area relies on weekly waste collections to keep piles of rubbish to a minimum."
Local people feel betrayed by comments made by local Labour councillors: "[We should] not to be squandering money on such ineffectual measures as weekly bin collections." said Labour Cllr Jones at the Birmingham Council Meeting, 10 June 2011.
Support the campaign to protect weekly rubbish collections in Selly Oak, Selly Park and Bournbrook by signing the petition below.

I/We pledge our support for maintaining weekly rubbish collections across Selly Oak, Selly Park & Bournbrook.
